Purpose: This page explains how AR Resurfacing collects consent from technicians and authorized staff members who choose to receive SMS messages related to support tickets, issue acknowledgements, requests for more information, status updates, and completion notices.

How consent is collected

Consent is collected through a verbal opt-in process during onboarding, supervisor enrollment, or a phone call with office administration.

Before a mobile number is enrolled, the recipient is told:

  • that AR Resurfacing will send text messages about operational support tickets and work-related issue updates,

  • that message frequency may vary based on support activity,

  • that message and data rates may apply,

  • that replying HELP provides assistance information, and replying STOP ends SMS messages,

  • and that SMS enrollment is optional and updates can also be provided by phone call or email when available.

Text enrollment is optional and you can still receive updates by phone or email if you do not want texts. Do you agree to receive these SMS messages from AR Resurfacing at this mobile number?"

Enrollment recordkeeping

When a recipient says yes, AR Resurfacing records the following in its internal consent log or personnel record:

  • recipient full name,

  • mobile number,

  • date and time consent was obtained,

  • staff member who collected consent,

  • the opt-in method (verbal),

  • and the version of the verbal script used.
